Rafa Benitez is Napoli's new manager. The agreement has been concluded in London. SSC Napoli is happy to welcome into its family such a prestigious manager. Greetings to his collaborators too.



Rafael Benitez Maudes was born in Madrid on April 16th 1960.

As a footballer, he was a midfielder-defender and grew up in Real Madrid youth team. Then he played for Real Madrid's Castilla, for Parla and Linares.

His managerial career started with Real Madrid too, also as the vice-manager of the Club's youth team. 

He was the manager of Real Valladolid, Osasuna, Extremadura, Tenerife and Valencia in Spain, Liverpool and Chelsea in England and Inter Milan in Italy.

His honours:

Five trophies in the different leagues:
Two Spanish championships: he won La Liga with Valencia in 2001/02 and in 2003/04
One FA Cup in 2005/06 with Liverpool
One Community Shield in 2006 with Liverpool
One Supercoppa Italiana in 2010 with Inter Milan

Five trophies at a European and international level:
Two Europa League: the Uefa Cup 03/04 with Valencia and the Uefa Europa League 12/13 with Chelsea
One Champions League in 2004/05 with Liverpool
