The refereeing appointments have been made for this weekend's round of fixtures in Serie A

Daniele Orsato has been named as the referee for Napoli's trip to face Inter in the late kick-off on Sunday evening.

He will be joined by assistants Riccardo Di Fiore and Gianluca Manganiello, fourth official Luca Banti and VAR officials Davide Massa and Alessandro Giallatini.

Orsato, 42, is a FIFA referee who has been officiating in the Italian top flight for eight seasons after four in Serie B. His Serie A debut came during Siena 1-1 Atalanta on 17 December 2006. In total, he's taken charge of 188 Serie A fixtures, plus 38 in the second division.

Napoli fans are well acquainted with the Schio-based referee, who has overseen 32 Azzurri fixtures across Serie A, Serie B and the Coppa Italia. Matches will Orsato in charge have produced 10 wins, 11 draws and 11 defeats for the Partenopei.

Some standout Napoli games involving Orsato include the 3-1 win against Fiorentina in the Coppa Italia final in Rome on 3 May 2014, the 2-1 victory at home to Inter in the league on 26 September 2015 and, most recently, the 1-0 win away to Atalanta on 21 January this year.

Across his career, Orsato has refereed 95 home wins, 70 draws and 61 away wins. He gives out yellow cards at a rate of more than five a game and red cards roughly once every four matches. He also awards a penalty once every four matches but stops play for infringements on average 31 times every game.
